How to give old Nifty- Fifty new life

This post was made specially for the contest How I Took It.

A lot of us making a tilt lens for our dslr thought about using the medium format lens but not many people know the full frame lenses will give the trick too. I mod the lenses already for some time and so far I'm not bored with it. Why I use full frame lenses? - simple because of the bokeh - at apertures lower than 2.8 is just incredibly delicious and I can not stop myself from shooting with this modified lenses. Check my pictorial how I transfom my old and lovely Pentacon 50mm f1.8 to a rubbery, tilty piece of glass.

The Little Match Girl / The Story Behind The Picture

Po raz pierwszy z freelensing natknąłem się na fotoblogi jakiś rok temu. Od razu podłapałem temat wykorzystując do eksperymentu obiektyw pentacon 50mm f1.8. Wyniki moich pierwszych prac były na tyle zadowalające że jedno z moich zdjęć trafiło na powyższy blog na którym obszerniej opisano tą technikę.

The first time I came across a freelensing at fotoblogia.pl a year ago. Immediately i start the experiment using my old Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens. The results of my first works were so satisfactory that one of my photos were sent to the above site on which more fully describes this technique.

Lewitujące szklo wciągnęło mnie na parę dobrych miesięcy i to ta oldschoolowa technika zmobilizowała mnie do zbudowania pierwszego obiektywu typu tilt-shift (oraz dwukrotne nagłe spotkanie mego pentacona z betonem) I tak właśnie powstała wersja 1.0:

Levitating glass (freelensing) sucked me for a couple of good months and then this old school technique mobilized me to build my first type of tilt-shift lens (and because pentacon sudden encounter with the concrete, twice) And so it was bulid version 1.0:
